{\noindent Dear Professor Welland:}
I am enclosing some material that may be suitable for publication in
the next issue of TUGboat.
This material contains a note regarding the state of the documentation
available from Stanford, detailed code to repair one error (that has been
reported and fixed since the August revision), and a suggested change in
the PrintOctal procedure.
I have reproduced the text of the changes in two different formats, the
one corresponding to the column arrangement used in the documents issued
at Stanford, and the second to correspond to the column widths used in
TUGboat so that the detailed text can follow the introductory note. I
will leave you to chose the format that best meets your needs.
